Frente al muro de la exclusión del Patio de Karina, levantado por el gobierno cubano contra Convivencia el día 15 de diciembre de 2009, me pregunté qué hacer luego del impacto de los primeros días. Recordé aquel ya viejo refrán del Centro Cívico y Vitral: quince minutos para quejarse y 45 para proponer soluciones.
Grande ha sido la avalancha de solidaridad. Pasan por mi mente los primeros estrechones de manos sin palabras, las palmadas en el hombro en medio de la calle con una frase que dice mucho en Cuba: no es fácil Dago, no es fácil. Comienzan a llegar las primeras llamadas de la diáspora, los periodistas que desean tener el testimonio de primera mano, los diplomáticos acreditados en La Habana, la vecina que me pregunta sin cesar: pero, ¿qué piensan hacer?
Vuelvo al patio de Karina, medito frente al muro que se va llenando de gallos, corazones, palomas y manos. Pongo la mía en la lata de pintura y pinto un sol mientras rezo por Cuba. Dentro del sol plasmo mi mano abierta y me propongo no levantar jamás la mano al agresor, ni reaccionar ante el difamador con las sombras del odio, ni a los muros con asfixia.
Pero, no se trata solo de buenas intenciones, hay que hacer algo para ser dignos de este honor sin méritos propios: nada menos que un muro para Convivencia. Un muro habla por sí solo. ¿Qué interpretación se le puede dar al doble bloqueo de zinc y ladrillo con que se topan nuestras narices? Hay que ser ciego o cómplice: Han levantado un muro en Pinar del Río. ¿Alguien necesita más evidencias?
Como siempre que tenemos un peligro, o que compartimos una alegría, nuestro grupo se encuentra, convive el dolor de la familia, condivide la impotencia de la represión. Y, enseguida, Toledo propone hacer lo que por tanto tiempo, dos años, hemos meditado y pospuesto para dar prioridad a la revista Convivencia: La revista es solo bimestral. Escribamos un testimonio cada uno y colguémoslo hoy mismo con las fotos en nuestro sitio web. Así lo hicimos en una madrugada y una intensa mañana. A las 5 de la tarde ya estaba en Internet.
Al día siguiente, otra meditación, otro empuje. Muchos nos preguntan cómo vamos a responder a esta provocación. Todos los del equipo respondemos que ante la violencia, los muros y las mordazas, solo hay una respuesta pacífica y profunda: más paz, más espacios y más voz. No voces más altas sino más frecuente. No voces ofensivas sino propositivas. Ya está.
Si lo que han querido es amurallar a Convivencia, entonces creo que lo mejor es tejer más convivencia desde los espacios que abramos intramuros. Así pues, desde los resquicios de la doble tapia de Pinar del Río, salta un nuevo blog comunitario a la red de redes. He aquí el milagro: muros que paren más información, más comunicación, más solidaridad desde sus entrañas, por eso este blog se llama INTRAMUROS.
Agradezco a todos los que ordenaron, ejecutaron y construyeron los dos muros: De ellos también es la responsabilidad de este blog. Agradezco al equipo de Convivencia al que pertenezco, es especialista en convertir las crisis en crecimiento, los muros en espacio y las mordazas en voz. Nunca podré agradecer bien ese entrenamiento que me ha permitido afianzarme en la mística de las propuestas para Cuba y no en el lamento y la parálisis.
Más convivencia, ahora intramuros, es ya uno de los frutos amasados por la mandarria, el bloque y el acero con que han alzado un símbolo que todo el mundo puede entender.
